On this cold and foggy day (cf. Fig. 1), a friend of mine and I went out to challenge the performance of the RF-modules at the lake Außenmühle in Harburg's recreation area.

The results as shown in Table 1 are acutally quite promising. It seems to be possible to keep the radiolink up during operation on the entire lake.
Locating the base station somewhere near position #5 would place it on a hill, additionally. This may improve the reception.
