GPSr Garmin eTrex - Self-made eTrex Datacable

Here are some pictures of the manufacturing.
After roughly one year of regular usage, the improvised plug was of no more use. I bought a machine produced plug for self-assembly (approx. 8 Euros). The cable was in use until 2009 without anymore issues.

The idea for this project is by Jens Seiler.
